FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Learn more about the Club

What is the 1955 restaurant like now that renovations are complete?
The 1955, formerly knowns as the Grill Room, is all about the experience. This restaurant offers an upscale dining experience with unique menu items and service styles. The bright and fresh décor combined with great food and even better friends, is the new social hub of the Northern Neck.

Are Jackets Required when dining at the Club?
Jackets are not required in 1955; however, country club casual is the minimum dress for this restaurant. The Skipjack and Willow Oaks Terrace are casual spaces and tasteful denim is permitted.

How will the other renovated space be used?
The club’s banquet spaces have been beautifully updated and offer a bright, fresh and new look as you entertain your guests. The Blue Heron and the Creekside are now available for private and club-sponsored parties and gatherings.

If you would like to plan a private event- be it for your business, milestone or just because, please call Theresa DeGraw at 804.435.1340 ext 106. Events may be planned by both club members or non-members with a sponsoring member.

How do tee times and racquet court reservations work??
Members book tee times and court reservations primarily online or using the ICYCC mobile app. You can see open slots and book up to 7 days in advance. Registering for special events is easy when using the club calendar.

The Racquet Center is available 24/7 with a key card for those on the racquet program. Just another reason to add that sports package to your club membership!

The season is active with round robins, mixed scrambles, drills and drinks, men’s and women’s organized play and events that feature fun first. Be on the lookout for USTA events making their way to the club soon.

How do I get involved in the Club if I don’t know anyone?

One of the best things about the Club and its members is how easy it is to get involved. Our member ambassadors ensures that no new member gets left behind. We are here to create relationships and opportunities from the very start.

I’ve never played a sport or have been away from it for a long time, how do I get started again?

Our professional staff is available for lessons, clinics and will help you get into the game for the first time or perhaps back into the game if you’ve been away for any period of time. There are many members in this category when they join and the goal of the club staff is to help you learn or improve in whatever area of the club you hope to get involved. Some of our sports groups find the social aspect is equally or perhaps more important than the sport itself, making getting involved easy.

How do I sponsor a member?

It is easy! Send in an email or letter sharing your excitement for your prospective member to the Club Membership office. If you have questions, please reach out to the membership office.

I’m not a golfer, racquet player or boater – what’s available for me?

Members of the club typically start at a social level and add sports and activities on based on what their interest may be. Given the social scene being at the very core of each membership, there is a variety of programs, dining options, special events and activities geared to social members and an active lifestyle for this category of membership is what the club’s entertainment committee focuses on first and foremost.

The reputation of the club being the best place to dine in the Northern Neck is a testament to the attention paid to or social members.

Are guests allowed at ICYCC?

A member may bring a local guest one time per month. Friends and family visiting you is the exception to this rule – if you have visitors in town, sharing your club during their visit is allowed.
