Yachting

Beyond The View

The Chesapeake Bay and the rivers that bound the Northern Neck are a boater’s paradise with a long racing and cruising tradition. Members of the Indian Creek Yacht Club celebrate that tradition through group cruises, educational programs for boaters, and the Indian Creek Yacht Club’s Annual Member Regatta. But owning a boat is not a requirement for membership. The Yacht Club has a reputation for its friendly camaraderie among members and hosting some of the best social events in the Northern Neck.

Building On Traditions

The spring Annual Flag Raising and Blessing of the Fleet ceremony launches the official yachting season. Adult sailing classes and dingy racing opportunities are available throughout the summer.   Each year, the active calendar affords opportunities for all boat types to participate in fun new adventures.

Boating About

As a regional sailing and powerboating hub, the Yacht Club offers 35 slips that accommodate yachts 90’ and less and are equipped with water and electric service. Many members travel by boat from their waterfront homes nearby and dock at the Yacht Club for social events and activities. Reciprocal guests are welcomed. Some make the Indian Creek Yacht Club their second home during the high season.
